“I believe the seeds of growth are planted in the counseling room, but once you leave and face life again, that is when and where healing work begins, where growth happens.”
Choose your character: Getting Fit for Mind Maintenance
Are you experiencing existential anxiety/dread, depression, marital stress? Maybe a loss of purpose or attachment/moral injury? Pregnancy loss, infertility, or baby blues? Vicarious or complex trauma? Feeling a sense of FOMO and not knowing your people?
Maybe all the above?
Does your character impose on your job/career, everyday functions, and relationships that result in you feeling dysregulated, discouraged, and stuck? Maybe you even toe the line of executive and functional freeze..
Say less.
The 411
I’m Mishawn - your favorite nuerospicy Virgo and therapist baddie! Welcome to the Queendom! I am a fierce accomplice and ultimate shit starter. (In a good way!) Navigating life is like playing a game - I am here to play chess, not checkers. Advocacy is paramount, and I am not afraid to get loud if I need to.
I have nearly seventeen years of healthcare experience focused on intensive care, maternal care, and psychiatric mental healthcare with local hospitals and long-term care facilities.
Outside of advocacy and healthcare, I have a no-b/s approach to our alliance (therapy) which involves repair building, accountability, and meeting one another halfway. Think of our sessions as mind maintenance – the ultimate mental workout.
Yeah, this involves a monetary currency. You also invest time, energy, and hard work to do, be, and act better. I take this seriously. I do not believe in wasting your time or money.
Think we would make a great team? Shoot me a message and let’s see if we can get your character[s] a life!
